The neighborhood was inhabited by a group of ministers, thinkers, and artists, which made the state pay great attention to it.
The neighborhood is located in eastern Cairo and its area reaches about 9 square kilometers and is inhabited by about 136 thousand people. The neighborhood is close to several important areas and neighborhoods in Cairo, such as: Zeitoun, Nasr City, Ain Shams, and Waili.
