The Green Belt area covers a total area of approximately 10,200 acres in 6th of October City.
The Green Belt area is one of the most important development projects in 6th of October City, as the projects being implemented in the area aim to transform it into an integrated urban community, by providing integrated urban activities, commercial, administrative, service activities, and others, while developing the infrastructure in the area.
Facilities (roads - water - sewage - irrigation), noting that the Green Belt area is divided into the first area, which starts from Basin 1 to Basin 16 with an area of about 4,500 acres, the second area from Basin 17 to Basin 24, and the third area from Basin 25 to Basin 49.
The total length of utility networks in the first area is about 236 km and includes: (76 km water network, 78 km irrigation network, 82 km sewage and rainwater drainage network and expulsion lines), in addition to directed push runners under SUMED Company lines, in addition to a main and secondary road network with a total length of about 85 km, and 5 sewage pumping stations.
He said: The area of the second area in the Green Belt is about 2,200 acres, and the project to implement the main facilities in the area (roads - water - sewage - irrigation) includes a total of utility networks of about 138 km (43 km water network, 38 km irrigation network, 55 km sewage and rainwater drainage network), in addition to the main and secondary road network with a total length of about 30 km.
The third area of the green belt, with an area of about 3,500 acres, noting that 4 plots of land have been allocated from the New Urban Communities Authority’s share in the area, with an area of 56 acres, with activities (integrated urban - commercial - administrative - school)
